SUBMARINE

Alex Turner did the score of this deadpan biopic and - like the film itself - the songs perfectly capture the strangeness of love. The main character (based on the director's life) narrates in the form of his internal monologue. It's brilliant.

John Cassavetes

A WOMAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Gena Rowlands is UNREAL in this film. I cried. The 70s were the golden era of film and I will die on that hill. I have nothing else to say besides you need to watch this film.
