Here's what I've read recently. I'll log my books as I finish them, so you'll have a curated list to choose from the next time you're in the mood for a good read.

Fyodor Dostoevsky

Crime and Punishment

This is the book I'm currently reading. Lot's of monologuing (in Dostoy fashion) that is so well written I feel as if I'm going mad along with the main character. I'm halfway done, but it's a long read so my final review may take a few weeks.

Albert Camus

The Stranger

The last three pages of this book are worth reading all of them to get there. Read carefully, Camus drops profound lines very casually. This is one I had to immediately reread once I finished. Brilliant.

Sylvia Plath

The Bell Jar

Sylvia just gets it. This book starts with the main character getting dragged into a 2-man so her friend can hookup with a DJ and it was published in 1963. Oh, the weight of being a woman.

Andre Aciman

Enigma Variations

This book is about limerence. If you're prone to romanticizing everything you should read this book. If there's one thing about Aciman he knows how to do hopelessly obsessive.

Fyodor Dostoevsky

White Nights

I read this cover to cover in one sitting and it was so good I was saying "fuck, that's good" out loud on a plane. If you make up scenarios in your head about your love interest you'll love this one.
